Chinese Tea House
Friday, August 26, 2011 at 1:13PM
I walked upon this place not knowing a thing about it. The young couple sitting inside didn't speak any English so I preceded to just point at the tea I wanted. I didn't realize how much I needed this time to deflate before these final few days of our European tour. As I sat there and listened to the flowing water just outside the door I felt a pleasant calm come over me. I felt recharged again and ready for one last show.
Thanks to all who followed along on my blog and for all those who came to the shows here in Europe. It truly has been a pleasure!
See you from the stage tomorrow and otherwise, see you Stateside.

It was an honor to see you live in concerts. Come back soon.
Thanks Joe for allowing us to tag along with you on your European whirlwind of a tour. It's been a blast to take a mini vacation every day from work as I view your beautiful pictures.
Thanks for continuing to post while on tour and for giving us these snippets of your travels.
Safe travels! Can't wait to see you in Virginia soon.
Thank you for taking the time to share. I can't imagine the toll such a tour can have on a body. Glad you had this brief tea respite; hopefully you'll get a real break in the US. Cheers!
One last aside - are you familiar with the Angelo Badalamenti soundtrack for The Straight Story? I would love to hear a cello version of this gorgeous music played by you. It would be a lovely marriage of your classical and country style. Just a thought :)
Lovely post, Joe.
Great perspective Joe. The grind you guys endure is rarely considered by the outsider. Glad to hear something so simple can have such a positive impact. Travel safe
Thanks for sharing....it's a real pleasure to travel through your eyes. As posted previously...safe travels to all.
