Local Eats: The Pig - Chapel Hill, NC


I used to think that my spirit animal was butter. I'm starting to think I'm a pig.

The above (drool) is a pork belly sandwich topped with cole slaw, and served with a side of home-made pickles. The pork is perfectly braised to that fall apart texture and the pickles are sweet and crisp.

Recipes: Prociutto, Fig, and Mint Crostini (Jamie Oliver)




This is a Jamie Oliver dish I mildly modified. It's super easy to make, and you can even use pre-made crostini if you're in a hurry. This is sure to be a crowd favorite at your next party, as the flavors are not common but go so well together.

Local Eats: Laurel Market - Charlotte, NC

Well word on the street is we're playing a show in Charlotte again at the Bojangles Coliseum. As excited I was about that I was also very excited when Laurel Market, a super sandwich shop in Charlotte, asked me to create a few signature sandwiches. Best part is, if you go order one of these sandwiches you're also entered in a chance to win a pair of tickets to the show on April 9th!
