Akiko's Restaurant - San Francisco, CA

After a marathon day of eating, guided by my long time friends Pam and Alvin. We came across Pam's favorite sushi spot in San Francisco. Mind you, at this point in the day I've already eaten some 6-8 meals, but Pam insisted we stop in for some Uni(sea urchin). She spoke with the owner and convinced him to open up a new package of uni from Hokkaido. The uni was so buttery and smoothe, the flavor so barely briny, creamy, and not even a trace of fishiness.

Zazie - San Francisco, CA

Gingerbread Pancakes - with bosc pears (in season) and lemon curd

The lines may be long, and the hipsters may have taken over the whole restaurant, but it's still a wonderful place to eat. Zazie's in San Francisco, is a french inspired breakfast must in busy SF.

Suzu - San Francisco, CA

I happened upon this spot while we were in San Francisco for The Fillmore show. Playing a couple days in a town always makes for a nice time on the eating front for me. I actually get the time to go explore areas that I would otherwise not have the time to do. My friends Cat and Zack came along on my quest to find a noodle shop and we came across this place, Suzu.

Kiss Seafood - San Francisco, CA

What an amazing experience I had at this restaurant.  Located in the Japantown district of San Francisco, CA, Kiss Seafood is a boutique sushi restaurant where the food is prepared made to order.  The venue is a small little shop including a sushi bar and 4 tables, the whole restaurant fitting no more than 12 people.  Make sure you call at least a day or two before if you want to get seated, as they don't accept walk-ins easily. Oh yeah...plan at least 1.5 hrs to eat.
