Boats

One day I want to own a boat and sail down the coast. I've never sailed before but I think I'd enjoy it.

Does anyone else feel that water calms you? There must be something to that.

Having been raised in eastern NC, I've never been able to live away from the coast for too long. Is it sad I only lasted 1 year at Elon College, in large part because I felt too landlocked?

I think it's' biological. In our cavemen (and women) days, if we found water, then we found something to drink and most likely something to eat. I guess that would be pretty calming, and maybe that sensation is left over. Or I could be just making that up. :)

if it's the beaches - if it's the beaches sands (and water) you want then you will have them

I grew up on the bay in Florida, so being around water, docks, and boats is always comforting to me. Even pictures of water.

Water calms me for sure...rivers and clear running creeks are some of my favorite things. I could sit next to a creek and listen to that sound and watch the water flow over the rocks for hours. : )

Absolutely, without a doubt, water calms me. I feel like me when I'm near it. Nothing bothers me, I can be happy/sad/angry all at the same time, and it just feels right.
I've always attributed it to being a water sign, since I have no other reason that is logical, so I may as well have an illogical reason, right?

Beautiful shot of the Lake. Don't let the calming effect it can have on you be decieivng..last week there were 20ft. waves crashing where you took that picture! I love the lake when it's violent...it's a force with a reckoning! When you come back to Chicago hopefully you can get some shots of her "fury"!
