Kiss Seafood - San Francisco, CA

What an amazing experience I had at this restaurant.  Located in the Japantown district of San Francisco, CA, Kiss Seafood is a boutique sushi restaurant where the food is prepared made to order.  The venue is a small little shop including a sushi bar and 4 tables, the whole restaurant fitting no more than 12 people.  Make sure you call at least a day or two before if you want to get seated, as they don't accept walk-ins easily. Oh yeah...plan at least 1.5 hrs to eat.

Local Eats: Thai Palace - Chapel Hill, NC

I LOVE NOODLE SOUPS! Thai Palace is a place my cousin and I frequent often. I hope you'll enjoy these local recommendations. Check'em out and tell me what you think!

These are some of the yummy sauces you have to ask for to get. Just ask for the "pepper sauces."

Recipe: Galbi (Korean BBQ Short Ribs)

Check out the Recipe section of my blog.

Bulgogi - Korean style BBQ ribs

5 lbs beef spare ribs
7 tblsp sugar
3/4 c soy sauce
1/2 onion finely minced
2 stalks green onion diced
8 cloves of garlic
2 tblsp toasted sesame oil
Salt and pepper to taste

This is one of those "last meal" dishes that I grew up with. My momma would make this for me during college because it keeps so well in the freezer and is so simple to finish off. The best way to finish this dish is on the grill but if you don't have access or permission just plop it in a frying pan and cook it through.
