Local Eats: Los Portales - Wilmington, NC

Photog note: Cheap Mexican food may taste good but it sure doesn't look good. I've recently found out that it is really quite difficult to take tasty photos of Mexican food. Los Portales is a great taqueria in Wilmington that you should definitely checkout for yourself. My photos do not do the place justice. Cheap and oh so tasty!

Casa Nueva Cantina - Athens, OH

When I put out the request for suggestions for the start of our 2010 tour, I never imagined I'd have such a great wealth of people willing to help me out. For this, Thank You! Casa Nueva Cantina was one of the places that kept coming up over and over again. To be honest with you I was a bit skeptical at first. My thought prior to eating at "Casa" was that there is only so good a burrito could be. I was so wrong.

And little did I know I'd be going to an old stomping of my employer. The Avett's have been coming to Casa Cantina for years playing this little stage that I have posted above.
