I don't remember when I started loving Brussel sprouts, but whenever they come into the the markets I tend to eye them until I finally break and buy a bag of them. They're versatile little veggies and this is just one of my favorite preparations.

On our brief but eventful trip to Melbourne, Australia, we stayed near this great little café that we found ourselves frequenting throughout the day. The coffee was always delicious and the pastries were hand-made on a daily basis. Breakfast became lunch became dinner and before we knew it the employees were calling us by name.
